What are the six key components of your business?

Six Key Components
No matter how large your business, no matter what your industry, every company has Six Key Components™ which need to be managed and strengthened if you want it to become a great business.

When we implement the Entrepreneurial Operating System with our clients, we work on these Six Key Components, which make up the EOS Model™, and we have tools to help you address and strengthen each one.

The management tools in the EOS Toolbox are designed to be easy for business leaders to learn and use, because complexity reduces effectiveness.

Each one has been proven time and time again in the real world – the tools work!

The Six Key Components are:

1. Vision

The first Key Component is what we call the Vision Component™. Strengthening this means getting everyone in the organisation 100 percent on the same page with a clear understanding of where you’re going and how you’re going to get there.

2. People
You can’t achieve a great vision without a great team.  This means surrounding yourself with great people, from the top to the bottom of the business.
3. Data

This means cutting through all the feelings, personalities, opinions and egos and boiling your organisation down to a handful of objective numbers that give you an absolute pulse on where things are.

With the Vision, People, and Data Components strong, you start to create a lucid, transparent, open and honest organization where everything becomes more visible and you start to “smoke out all the issues,” which leads to…

4. Issues

Strengthening the issues component means becoming great at solving problems throughout the organisation. Setting them up, knocking them down and making them go away forever.

5. Process

Process is the secret ingredient in your organisation. This means “systemising” your business by identifying and documenting the core processes that define how you run it and getting everyone on the same page with what the essential procedural steps are in your core processes. Then getting everyone to follow them so you create consistency and scalability in your organisation.

6. Traction

This means bringing discipline and accountability into the organisation. Becoming great at execution. Taking the vision down to the ground and making it real.
